Image recognition and control of ABB industrial robot

For our graduation project we programmed an ABB industrial robot to pick up and color sort Objects.

My part of the project was the image recognition. I used LabView and NIvision to detect objects on a table. The obtained coordinates, color, shape and rotation information is sent via Ethernet to the robot. The robot picks the right grabber and sorts the objects according to their color.

The project can be divided into three parts.
1. Position-, Color-, Angle-, Shape-Detection
2. Communication between the image recognition and the robot
3. Program the robot
