Glowing Keys and Flying Notes
Sound generated projections on a keyboard
This project is an interactive piano where the played notes are directly projected in front of the player, popping out of the pressed keys. The aim of this project was not to generate fancy visuals or a “piano playing learn software” but to basically deal with a new way of interacting with the piano, where Aspects of Gamification should motivate the user. The project was realized by my brother and me and was build with Processing and additional librarys (keystone).
Dieses Projekt ist ein interaktives Klavier, bei dem die gespielten Noten als farbige Rechtecke direkt über die Tasten projiziert werden. Somit erhält man zu dem akustischen auch noch ein visuelles Feedback. Dadurch dass man mit den bunten Balken die verschiedensten Formen erzeugen kann, ist es eine Art “gamifiziertes” Klavierspielen. Das Projekt wurde von mir und meinem Bruder Dominik in Processing umgesetzt. Für das Mapping der Cornerpointtransformation verwendeten wir die Keystone Library.
